"DE LA IDENTIDAD AL LIDERAZGO, JUNTOS COMO COMUNIDAD"
about.

Raza United was created in 2015 by a small group of Latino students who wanted to create a space where students who shared similar culture, language and lived experiences could connect. At the time, many latino students felt disconnected from one another and from their cultural identity. Many students stayed within their bubble and did not feel encouraged to engage beyond it or see the importance of being part of a larger movement. Latino students also lacked confidence in leadership and opportunities to build interpersonal skills. The need to help break that bubble led to the creation of Raza United.

Fun Fact: I graduated from East HS, I have 4 children, all East HS grads, 5 grandsons, and a Xoloitzcuintle. I love to organize and do so many things at once (maybe because I am a virgo, an empath and have ADHD) and I am a HUGE fan of Día de los Muertos.
